Adult MOUNTAIN BIKe Features CLINICS

CREATING SPEED and FLOW

Learn fundamental approaches for riding corners and berms with more confidence, stability and speed as well as pumping, which will bring you "free speed" on the trails and maximize your fun with berms! Cornering has many advanced techniques that will be introduced based on time and the class readiness.  The class will be taught approximately 25% on the grassy field and 75% trail. Learning new skills in a "practice zone" (grass) vs a "performance zone" (the trail) will allow you to learn and focus on the skills before the terrain. The class is taught from the BICP curriculum, along with learnings and insights from other curricula. Prerequisite: Fundamentals

Location:
Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve,
15501 Murphy Lake Road Savage, MN 55378

Day/Date: Saturday, May 3rd

Getting Up Down and Over

A log, a step-up, that steep slab of rock…oh, my! Are you ready to tackle more challenging trails and features? If you have taken Fundamentals classes and have been riding confidently for a while, but are still challenged by logs, step-ups/stairs, large rocks and steep descents…this class is for you! This class will take you through the BICP L2 Intermediate skills including trackstand, wheel lifts, advanced braking/descending and roll-down lunge. Class instruction will occur in an open field. Prerequisite: Fundamentals, Trail Application of the Fundamentals

Location:
Lebanon Hills - West Trailhead
4801 Johnny Cake Ridge Road Eagan, MN 55123

Day/Date: Sunday, May 18th
Time: 2:00pm-4:00pm
Cost: $50

Ready to Rock

It’s a love and hate relationship—rock gardens. You want to conquer them but rarely spend time trying to figure them out. In this class, you’ll review Fundamentals skills that are used in rock gardens, plus some new skills…to help you get over, across, up and down. After that…it’ll be all trail time, sessioning both up and down rock gardens.

The class will be taught approximately 70% on the grassy field or bike park and 30% trail. Learning new skills in a "practice zone" (grass) vs a "performance zone" (the trail) will allow you to learn and focus on the skills before the terrain.

The class is taught from the BICP curriculum, along with my personal learnings and insights from other curricula. Prerequisite: Up, Down and Over

Location:
Lebanon Hills - West Trailhead
4801 Johnny Cake Ridge Road Eagan, MN 55123
