EU Skiwerx Winter 2024-25

What is Endurance United Skiwerx ?

Endurance United is an affiliated program of MyXC Skiwerx. EU Skiwerx (focused on Nordic skiing) is for active kids ages 9-14 that want to learn a variety of training skills (speed, strength, endurance, flexibility) to help them become successful and happy endurance athletes in the future. The overall objectives of the program are to assist children in the development of a love of the outdoors, a healthy lifestyle, excellent technical skills and a good level of physical fitness within a sport environment. We strive to build a culture of community, providing athletes a sense of team.

Please be aware of the equipment requirements for the winter programming. Skiers must own their equipment or MYSL provides limited rentals, but you will need to plan ahead to arrange for equipment at the rental day or shop at a local ski swap. Questions regarding equipment rental contact callie.knapp@enduranceunited.org.

Highlights of program

*Encouraged attendance at some community races and/or the Wednesday night MyXC sprints.

Weather Cancellation Policy

We will hold sessions in most weather conditions, so proper clothing is very important. We will try to make cancellation decisions 1.5 hours before a session begins. Coaches discretion for the safety of skiers is first and foremost in making our shortened session or cancellation decisions. Below is the general guideline we follow for cancellations.

  • Air temp of -5 degrees (without windchill). Cancelled session.

  • Windchill of -8 degrees. Depends on wind direction and trail availability. Session may be cancelled or shortened.
